Hello: This is just a brief comment regarding forum mechanics. While there are probably numerous justifiable reasons for the moderator to review posts before they are visible on the forum, the practice does not address the oftentimes urgent need for assistance requested by users. Therefore, it would be helpful if one could enter a post that is more or less immediately visible thereby allowing for the possibility of a more timely response, if not by the parallels support team, at the very least by other users. Thank you.
Agreed. Delayed visibility and pre-moderation does not facilitate open discussion either. vBulletin supports the ability of an admin or moderator to subscribe to an email feed of the entire forum. Why not just choose to receive those emails and then remove posts as necessary but allow the posts to be immediately visible?
Agreed. One can also simply decide to moderate new members (as on e-mail lists) but not those who have already shown they were human beings. Plus, moderation is less necessary on a forum than an e-mail list: on the forum, if "damage" is done, you can always revert it. You can't unsend e-mails.
