I have been getting daily crashes of Parallels 5.0.9344. These crashes occur no matter how many or few programs open, once I had no programs open and just opened my computer and it crashed. After the crash I get an error message prompting me to write a report to parallels (have sent 15-20 and no answer or progress) and then I can go back into windows without having lost any data, but it takes a minute or two. This is literally a daily occurrence and is quite aggravating. Thanks!
I understand that others here have been able to get rid of Parallels crashes by de-installing Parallels (the deinstaller asks whether you want to keep the VM files; say "yes"), rebooting the Mac, and then re-installing Parallels again. Maybe that helps. Good luck!
Re: Daily Crashes I'm not sure my Mac Pro crashes daily, but it does often. Again, it doesn't seem to matter what applications I'm running or how many simultaneously. However, I do have 16GB of RAM installed and still wonder if that is sufficient as there are several processes running on my 8-core dual processors. I'm just grasping at straws, as it seems there are several users not having this problem, so I'm wondering if I need to increase the RAM although I would have thought 16GB would be sufficient. Are there other reasons I lose my Windows XP Pro SP3 functionality?
Really? No Parallels response either to my 15 - 20 error logs or this thread? Maybe their computers are crashing before they can get online to post
