Cut and paste, Drag and drop file management within XP supposed to work on parallels?

    Hi,

I could've sworn that I'd used a font management program in XP (parallels) to move some files around the efficient PC way before, but today I tried to move some pictures around (on the mac host partition) within XP and it wouldn't let me use the Edit/Cut and Edit/Paste operations within that program to move the files between folders.

Are you supposed to be able to drag and drop files inside XP the way you can on a PC using XP - meaning drag and file and drop it somewhere else and it MOVES, not copies? And in file explorer type programs where you have the cut and copy commands, or even in the Open and save dialogs (where PC users can actually, natively do any finder-type operation without having to exit a program)?

I'd prefer responses from real knowledgeable pc users who use both and know what I expect to see and not users who've never been good at PC or haven't used them much and are used to this being strange on a mac and have some complicated workaround method. No workarounds, I just want to know if XP will REALLY act like XP on my mac or not. Because if the file management and moving feature doesn't work, it's not XP to me, it's just a mac wearing an blue outfit.

I thought parallels was the solution to my biggest mac angst, but I'm not sure if this is just temporarily broken or unusual, or if Parallels could never workaround that mac behavior.

    Thanks.
