So I have been trying to contact customer support. My issue is I ended up paying for Parallels 6 Desktop in August and I guess I am able to get the Version 7 for free according to a email from Parallels. But the problem is I already paid for the upgrade?? Very upsetting that Parallels never mentioned this when I bought the upgrade. So I paid through PayPal and figured I would just ask for a refund for the upgrade I bought. But DigitalRiver just denied that! So now I guess I will have to file a claim against Digital River for my credit. You know, If Parallels had just sent the emails in a different order I would have just waited the 5 to 7 days to get my free Key for Parallels 7. But instead they sent me a early upgrade notice to download 7 before it was released to the public. Now they must have other tying up the chat lines at Parallels because I can't get through!
So just to update and give kudo's to Parallels. They finally were able to get my issues resolved with crediting me for the Parallels 7 upgrade which I later found out I was entitled to for free. While I still think it could have handled better by Parallels. At least their customer service handled it in a reasonable manor.
Just to let those that read this know. Customer service finally worked out with Digital River a refund for purchasing Parallels 7 which I was entitled to a free upgrade. So I think Parallels redeemed themselves in my mind somewhat.
It really happens sometimes. But, what the good part is, they do everything to make things right. Glad to have parallels
