Custom "branded" icon in dock to launch VM?

I'd like to have different icons in my dock for each of my VMs. I found the tip about cmd-option-dragging the icon from the title bar of a running VM, but when I do so I get the generic Parallels icon - not the "badged" one that shows which kind of OS it'll run. The dock does, of course, show the custom icon when the VM is actually running.

Is there a way to get the nice badged icon as a launcher in the dock?
