this is really strange....everything is working great..i have a macbook pro running xp....everything is updated..... just today i noticed an OBVIOUS ringing sound coming from my speakers...kinda like a sharp underwater sonar ring...but sharper... like when you hit a crystal glass with a fork sound.... it goes away IF i turn my XP volume all the way down or off.. it goes away when i suspend or close parallels.... i know this isnt normal ..any ideas what it is or how i can fix it and retain my sound ?? i searched everywhere for something similar ...but no luck... any and all help is GREATLY appriciated...
You probably have a feedback problem in XP. Make sure that XP is not set to play back the input from the mic in. This happens on real hardware also. It's quite annoying.
