CPU speed emulation

    Im a developing a special XP version for OLD computers 200MHZ and 32MB of ram, i can choose that amount of ram, but i cant limit the cpu speed can u add an option for that?. i really neeed to test the system whit a slow CPU. thx and regards i not that hard right?

    I think this would be hard/impssible since Paralles doesn't emulate a CPU, but rather virtualizes the one already there. Your best bet would be to use some sort of slow down program for XP (I can't remember, but here used to be such programs to make older Games run).
    On the other hand: Why not invest 20€ and BUY a 200MHz 32 MB RAM Computer :)

    It is possible to implement because Parallels Lightweight Hypervisor is responsible for scheduling resources between primary OS and VMs. It could be tuned to give particular VM very small amount of CPU and it will be equal to virtualized CPU with low frequency.

    BTW: In current Parallels Workstation/Desktop you can go to Configuration Editor->Options->VM Flags, uncheck VT-x support and set Acceleration level to disabled. This will seriously lower virtual CPU performance.
