Amongst the other nice improvements in 3094 I was very glad to see that the CPU load dropped considerably for idle systems as well as Paused systems. With a 2GHz/2GB MBP (core duo - not core duo 2), I would usually see ~25% CPU load when the VM was on but just sitting idle with no apps running. I confirmed this with others using similar systems. With the latest rev this is down to ~10% usually. In "Pause" I had been seeing 7% and now this drops as low as 1.5%.

This addresses an issue we have been seeing since drop 1970 (1940 was much better - more like 3094). So for those of you still using 1940 because of the battery life (I know you are out there), you can finally upgrade.

Hopefully we will see even more progress made in this area. This is really getting to be the only downside to using a VM since the latest efforts like Coherence are making this pretty seamless otherwise.
