Ok, I am evaluating Parallels right now over VMWare as there are some advantages that may apply to my project. I have a few quick questions: 1. Will a VM created on the MAC version work on the Windows and Linux Version and Can a VM created in Windows and Linux be run on the MAC version.. 2. VMWare only emulates USB 1.1. Does Parallels emulate usb 2.0 for mass storage devices? I can't find an answer anywhere. Need the USB speed using external HDs. 3. I noticed that you will have firewire support for the mac...Any chance it will be supported by PC and Linux Versions? 4. Also, will a VM created on the windows version work on the Linux Version and Vi-seversa. I guess the main question is are VMs platform specific or cross platform. This is a feature VMware has with their Linux and Windows Version..
Yes. Virtual disk image is fully independent. Parallels also emulates USB 1.1. But USB 2.0 devices should work with the speed close to native USB 2.0. Sorry - we don't have firewire support for Mac version. Yes. This should work fine.
