So I'm running parallels on my Macbook Pro. I installed a genuine XP pro, upgraded it to DirectX 9.0c, then I installed Steam, downloaded CS:S and now when I try to launch it I see the box that pops up and says: "Preparing to launch Counter-Strike: Source..." But then after that, nothing happens. The box disappears, I see a small hourglass next to my cursor, and the game does not load. Can anyone help? I tried posting this on steampowered.com but so far no help from there. Was hoping some parallels users have gotten this working so that they can help.
Parallels does not support 3d graphics. Wait until the next version. Release date is not announced yet. In the mean time, use boot camp. Someone should make this a sticky. This comes up once every few days, as soon at this thread hits the second page there will be another one...
