Dear forum,
I'll be switching from PC/Windows to Apple/MacOS shortly.
For two reasons I can't go fully Mac but would need Parallels or a Bootcamp Dual OS:
- There are several Windows apps that I need to work with
- Since some plug-ins to MS Office for Windows are not available on Office for Mac, so I would need to use MS Office for Windows (via Parallels or via Bootcamp)
After searching the Web and YouTube I still don't understand how Parallels is managing files produced in the Windows Virtual Machine.
Current state:
I have two partitions on my PC: (C) System and (D) Data.
In both you'll find hierarchical sub-folders. For eaxample,
(D)
Business Data
Project 1
Project 2
Private Data
Sub-folder 1
Sub-folder 2
Generally:
How would such a structure shine up in Parallels?
Partitions / Directories / ... ?
Specifically:
Can I store a (MS Office for Windows) PowerPoint file, generated via the Parallels Win 10 Virtual Machine into a Mac OS-managed hiererchical file system, or will it all be lumped together under (C) Documents folder or ...?
Please advise.
Thanks very much in advance.
Frank
