Hi I' m running Mac OSX 10.5.1 Leopard and Parallels Desktop 3.0 for Mac Build 5582, Guest OS: Windows XP SP2. My problem is, that since I upgraded from Mac OSX 10.4.11 Tiger and Parallels Desktop 3.0 for Mac Build 5160, copying or duplicating a file located on a windows volume using finder, sets the modification date / time of the copied file to the actual date and time! It must be able to differentiate between file versions only due to the modification date / time! Respectively, it should be possible to ensure that two files with the same name and modification date / time (located in different places) have the same content. If not, how can I determine that synchronisation is necessary? The new behavior makes this impossible! And just to make clear that this behavior is really strange: If you copy or duplicate a file located on a osx volume, the copy keeps the same modification date and time. I do the whole file management (windows and OSX files) on OSX side. So I really need the old behavior back! Do anybody know a solution for that? Thanks for responses, sincerely Mario
