    I've read through docs and did searches in here. Whats the requirements of copying the .hdd and .pvs files to a different host running parallels? I've done this, but when I launch parallels I keep getting the following error:

    CApp::VmCallback(): Unknown message code: 0x16

    Now maybe this error is benign as the vm will start up and seems to function properly. Any thoughts?

    I would clone to an external hard disk
    connect to the new machine
    and reclone to the final destination

    Which host OS?

    Running on Ubuntu 7.04, I regularly "muck" around in the parallels-vm folder. Coping .hdd files to save snapshots, etc...

    Yes, I have ported VM's from one host box to another... powers right on, just have to do File \ Open to find the correct folder and .pvs file.
