    Hi,
I know you can pretty easily use a Boot Camp partition within Parallels 3.0

And I remember having seen a thread back in December or so on this forum about the process of trying to convert a Parallels partition to Boot Camp. However, this step seemed very long and tedious.

I was wondering if there was an easier way to go from a Parallels Partition to Boot Camp with 3.0?

    Thanks.

I'm curious about the same thing. "Why bother?" because I already have a bunch of stuff installed and setup with my existing WinXP Parallels image, and I would rather not redo it in BootCamp.

I thought about creating a disk image using Acronis True Image, and then trying to install from that disc image with Boot Camp. Anyone know if this is possible, or does Boot Camp ask for the WinXP install disc?

Acronis Trueimage works fine within the Parallels VM (I know I used it to resize my VM disk).

HOWEVER it does not and will not work under Bootcamp.

This was confirmed by Acronis and they blame Apple.

I am pretty sure that for this reason you cannot use this route for the conversion.
