I have run into a continuous loop loading Windows XP on a MacBook Pro. Parallels finds the CD\DVD (I have same issue if I do from an image file) and goes through the Windows XP installation process. It then reboots to finish the configuration and starts the installation sequence over again as if it has never happened. I have pulled the CD\DVD out during the reboot and then the system can not find Windows. I am installing new copy of XP Professional on a new MacBook Pro. I have downloaded and installed build 1966. Any one know how I can get around this? I have had the same issues as other with not being able to contact Parallels... Paid for incident support only to find the telephone mailbox full and not accepting messages.

    Some suggestions:

    1) Try build 1970.
    2) Make sure the VM is set to boot off the virtual hard drive after installation is finished.

    Where do I find 1970

I have the boot sequence hard disk/cd-rom, floppy. Is that what you mean by point number 2?

Found 1970 when checking for updates

    What about point #2
