I have set up IIS on my Guest OS which is Win Xp Pro. I can connect to xp IIS server using its IP address no problems. I need to connect to it using the Computer name. As I work from multiple locations and my IP address keeps changing it is easier to connect using computer name ie hppt://winxp/index.asp instead of http://10.155.22.100/index.asp. It does sometimes work using name, but not always and is very slow. What setting do I need to do to fix this problem. I also have the reverse problem where I need to connect to my local MySql server in my asp webpages. This I can only get to work using IP address. Any help on both issues will be greatly appreciated.
