Configuring an Ubuntu Server VM to work as a web server for a Mac OS X host

    I'm running Parallels 6.0.12106 on Mac OS X 10.7.4 with an Ubuntu Server 12.04 running as a VM.

    I set up this VM so that I could use it as a development web server on my local machine: accessing pages via http://ubuntu-server/ in a browser running in OS X, for example.

    How do I set up the networking on the VM so that it works in this way?
