I have a triple booted mbp 17" with OSX, Win7 and Ubuntu installed on /dev/disk0s2, disk0s3 and disk0s4 respectively. I tried to setup my windows only as a bootcamp VM in parallels. However whenever I try to start it, the software attempts to install parallel tools. This fails and then I see the boot screen which states that my operating system is missing. If i reboot the maching I have access to boot all three partitions using rEFIt. Anyone have success with this setup? Any tips to get this going?

I'd review al files in the PD4 Virtual Machine in order to ensure that all of them are pointing correctly to disk0s3. Not sure of this, but I'd bet that Parallels expects the BootCamp partition to be the last one in the disk.

You could read this article in order to learn about the files and locations you should look at. Also, here we had an interesting time trying to make a VM to boot from a non-standard location (we didn't achieve it though).
