I don't use Windows, I use Linux VMs. Is there any compelling reason for me to upgrade from version 7 to 8? I see nothing in the "What's New" for 8 that does not have to do with Windows.

Support of fresh distros, for example. Lots of fixes, of course.

Well, I'm running the latest Ubuntu, and although there are a lot of bugs, they seems to be the same ones that were present in the previous version. I feel like I've been burned by upgrading with the hope of bug fixes.

Is there any way to see what was fixed? For example [Parallels #1320217] Cyclic links detected when there are no links? That's been in there a long time now. I'd really like to hear from anyone running 8 and get a feel for any specific improvements. Is the performance on the same distro 22% better? Is the Windows icon finally gone from my Dock when I am not running Windows (sounds trivial, but it makes it really hard to tell which VM is which).
