Presently in PD 4.0.3540, Command-W will try to close the VM window and this PD dialog comes up: "Do you want to stop or suspend this virtual machine? If you stop this virtual machine, you may lose unsaved data."

I want to map command-W to either ctrl-F4 or ctrl-w on the Windows VM (to close Internet Explorer tabs or etc.) and not to shutdown the VM. This occurs in anything from coherence to full screen view.

    Thanks,
    Ben

    It is mapped by default
    Command W- to Control F4
Parallels Desktop -Preferences - keyboard, when Windows profile is selected - check mapping

    John,
I noticed that setting but it's not working correctly. Command-W is being captured at the Host level and it's trying to suspend or shutdown the VM. Give it a try...

    Thanks,
    Ben
