I have inadvertently pressed Command+L in my Parallels Desktop 5 with a WindowsXP virtual machine. When I do that, all of the applications running at the time disappear, and I am left with a blank desktop background. The desktop is obviously locked, and I cannot unlock it no matter what I do. Since this happens frequently by accident (when I mean to press Alt+L and press Command+L by mistake) and the only solution is to totally stop and restart the virtual machine. Does anyone know how to "unlock" the machine when Command+L is pressed? Thank you.
I don't get a blank screen with Windows 7 or Windows XP while using Parallels Desktop 6. They just ask me to log in again. Maybe there's a problem with your Windows XP settings? Or maybe it's a bug with Parallels Desktop 5. Maybe you could test that with a new Windows XP virtual machine.
