I'm having some problems with Coherence when trying to use a single Windows 7 VM from two (Mac) user accounts on the same machine. Here's my setup:

Mac OS 10.7.2, Parallels 7 (whatever the latest version is at the time of this post, I just downloaded it from the site). Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

I made a VM (new, not bootcamp) and I placed it in a partition I made named "public." The partition is MacOS journaled format and I have it set to ignore user permissions. In addition to the Parallels VM, I keep our shared iTunes and iPhoto libraries in this "public" partition.

On the Mac side of things, I have an account for myself and an account for my wife. Fast user switching is turned on. Neither account is an Admin account.

I can load up the VM just fine from my account and I can load it up just fine from my wife's account. But I can only ever get coherence to work from one account at a time. So something like this:

I log in as me in Mac OS. I install Parallels. I load up the VM. Coherence works fine. Shutdown the VM. Switch to my wife's account. Load up the VM. Coherence won't work. Shut down the VM. Install Parallels from within my wife's account. Load up the VM. Coherence works fine. Shutdown the VM. Switch to my own account. Load the VM. Coherence won't work. Rip out hair.

When I say Coherence won't work, I mean it looks like it's going to load, and the Windows sys tray icons and Parallels icon show up in my Mac OS menubar, but when you try to open any Windows 7 apps or windows, they never render on the screen. If the Parallels preview app is open, you can see them rendering in the thumbnail, but not on the screen.

I've also tried reinstalling Parallels tools, but there are no issues there as far as I can tell. Please advise.
