I am not sure that I understand the improved cloud support under version 9 (I am currently running version 8). I have dropbox and Google Drive installed. I have a local Google directory, as well as a local dropbox directory. I do not have the google or dropbox clients installed in Windows so I don't see the local directories. Am I right in assuming that with version 9 these directories will now appear without installing the clients - relying only on the client in the Mac OS? Thanks.

Correct. In the Windows VM it maps a drive to the Dropbox folder on your Mac OS so you can access it without installing the clients in the VM. Be warned though, this feature breaks the ability to launch Windows programs directly from the Mac Finder, I ended up having to turn it off. I keep Dropbox in my Mac Home folder so I can still access the files inside the Windows VM through the shared Home directory. Or you could install the client in the VM and have duplicate files (no thanks, right?). You can read more about it here:

Or you can just share the corresponding folder with Windows, it achieves the same benefit.
