I'd impulsively buy Parallels, immediately, if I were sure to be able to "move" my office PC configuration onto a VM on my mac.

The only issue I have is, I'm not at all a Windows geek, and indeed "cloning" the office PC, for me, is much more ambitious than just installing Windows on a new VM.

The PC is Win XP-based and I have an admin access on it, but am totally windows-illiterate, and have no access to the installers of the office softwares I use (mainly Lotus Notes, and MS Office).

Is there a simple, step-by-step procedure that would allow me to for instance connect my PC and my mac, run whatever utilities on one or both sides, and in the end obtain a Parallels VM bootable diskfile on the mac that would somehow duplicate the PC?
Or, if this is not possible, that would allow me to transfer from the office PC as many settings as can be towards a brand-new XP VM?
In the end, I *need* the clone to look like it's the original, when seen from the office network, at least for what concerns Lotus notes, local accounts and some windows servers.

I suspect there will certainly be such a "migration-helping tool" someday just aside Parallels, but in the meanwhile I'd really rush on it immediately if there was, at least, a clear procedure to follow... :)

    TIA!
