As a backup precaution I attempted to 'clone' my guest machines using an external usb drive as the destination for the 'cloned guest'. The cloning process proceeded for approx 80% and then came up with the following message : ************* Unable to copy the hard disk image file 'E:/Parallels Virtual Machines/My Parallels/Cosmosis Linux.pvm/Cosmosis Linux-0.hdd' to 'K:/Cosmosis Copy/Copy of Cosmosis Linux 1.pvm/Cosmosis Linux-0.hdd'. Make sure that you have the necessary permissions for the source file and the target folder. Verify that the source file is not in use and the target folder is available. ************* When the cloning is performed using the 'default location' the cloning completes successfully. What's the problem here please. Ray
