With Mandriva 2007 as a host and Parallels running a WinXP as a guest (KDE), some applications like Firefox browser, Thunderbird e-mail client, OpenOffice.org suite, "copy and paste" directly to windows applications doesn't work. The workaround is to copy to some KDE integrated application like KWord, KWrite, Kate, etc, and then paste to the windows application. As a general rule, seems that clipboard sync tool works with every KDE directly integrated applications but with a few other applications, like Opera browser, that are not directly integrated to KDE. Any ideas on how to correct this issue?
I think wasn´t clear in the last message that ¨copy¨ from Parallels WinXp guest and ¨paste¨ to Firefox, OpenOffice.org and the others applications cited works without problem. Only ¨copy¨ from these linux applications stayed unavailble to ¨paste¨ to win applications. I´ve noted that the same occurs with Java applications. With java programs running in Mandriva, in this case x-clipboard is used to ¨copy¨ and ¨paste¨ with ctrl+c/ctrl+v or third mouse bottom, ¨copy¨ from the java application stay unavailable to to ¨paste¨ to win application. Reverse operation works. Would be nice to know if this is an application, a kde or a parallels problem.
