I have installed the latest version of Mandriva, but can't get it to display anything higher than 800x600. On booting I get a message saying graphics failed to initialize. Any thoughts?

    Thanks!

    HI

I get the same messsage with the download of mandriva one spring 2007, but I let it go and it starts up and usually gets to a screen where you can select mandriva linux. By a bit of trial and mainly error, have got it to 1280x1024 @ 60hz. I just kept fiddling with the configure your computer screen resolution settings. I had to reboot to get it to work.. Now it's too big for my screen, though [20" iMac], a bit of scrolling required.
