I finally have my first "issue" with this after months of flawless performance.

I migrated my old Drive using Transporter.

As we all know Parallels default is a virtual disk size.

My physical disk is a 500GB WD.

    I had 4 partitions.

I wanted to move only the 80GB boot drive partition.

The transport was flawless. I can boot, run aps, etc.

    PROBLEM:

Partition magic thinks it is still a 500GB drive.

I want to have Parallels change it from Virtual to Static.

When it tries, it creates or tries to create a 500GB drive with 80 formated and 420 Unformatted.

    QUESTION:

How do I "Loose" this 420 worth of physical drive allocation.

Since obviously it is NOT a true physical drive, some way to change the way parallels sees it and thus Windows and Partition Magic see it must exist.... but I have searched for days...

OK, there it is... who's got the answer ?

    Well...

    I found the work around...

Make a NEW drive the size I want.

Use Partition magic to copy over the old drive data.

Reactiviate windows and all my apps AGAIN...

Then deleted the large hdd file, using only the new hdd file as primary.

I would be nice if parallels put some REAL disk tools in this app.
