I have a 5.0 Parallels user on a Mac Book Pro running Snow Leopard. They had bound the Mac and the Windows environment to Active Directory and everything was good until they renamed the machine on the Windows side. The windows side works but when I try to login with the AD credentials on the Mac side it no longer works. The machine name in System Preferences/Sharing did change to the new name. This user did not unbind the Mac side before they changed the name of the machine on the Windows side which I think would've worked. I have unbound the Mac side in Directory Utility and tried to rebind but when I get to the last step of the 5 step process I always get a "Unknown Error" and no binding occurs. Has anyone else run into this situation out there and what did you do to fix it or are there any suggestions? Thanks for reading this and any help provided.
