I am new to parallels desktop and Mac OX10 but I need to increase the memory assigned to Windows. I understand to do this you go to configure. When configure opens the box is grayed out and there is a message "To be able to change the settings on this page, resume the virtual machine and then shut down" I must be dense but that sound like open Windows than close it then go to configure - That does not work nor any other variation I have tried and if you close Parrallels Desktop you can't configure it obviously - but I tried I have also tried various other options I have seen on the web including Press alt while opening Parrallels - Did not work Go the the Actions list in the bar at the top of the screen- What actions list? Its not on my machine or if it is I cannot find any reference to it whatever I press. Right click on configure - brings up the same result as above - using an apple mouse does not make a right click any easier either. Can someone please explain in simple English how to do it - I am getting very frustrated at this Any assistance would be gratefully accepted
Hi BrianG1, Please shutdown your Virtual Machine (click on Windows icon at the bottom left and choose shut down, it will appear on the bottom right hand side).
