CD-ROM Stops Working / Installation Stalls I'm trying to install Ubuntu Dapper Drake running Parallels Workstation. I created a new virtual machine and booted up with the Ubuntu Live CD. Ubuntu begins installing and once it reaches anywhere from 50-80%, the installation appears to stop. My CD-ROM light is no longer blinking and the CD-ROM icon in the bottom right of Parallels no longer animates either. It appears Parallels stops using my drive or something and the installation can't complete. Anyone have any information on fixing or preventing this?
I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but have you assigned more than 512 MB of RAM to the VM? What comp do you have?
