    Hi,

So far I am happy with parallels, however I have a USB 2.0 external hard drive that is not recognized under Vista. Also I do not think my CD is being seen by vista as well because when I put a cd in it does nothing and is not read. I am running a Macbook Core Duo, gig of ram etc.

Is there anything I can do for this?

Try to connect CDROM as OSx drive, into VM CDROM configuration page choose your external drive.

If you installed from an ISO image then make sure your VM settings have been turned back to Default CD-ROM.
