I've had a working version of WinXP operating with good mounting and reading of DVD's -- I will insert for installing software and such. Until I upgraded my WinXP to Vista I had no problems. And, I thought I understood how all this worked. But now I've created a Vista VM. It was easy with the upgrade DVD for Vista running in my WinXP VM.

Starting into Vista I find I cannot get the upgrade DVD for Win7 to read on my Vista VM.

I'm attaching a screen cap of the situation showing the menu for Devices open to demonstrate it 'sees' my disc drive properly, but it will not mount the disk into the Vista > Computer window.

What's strange about this is that about two years ago I did this same upgrade thing from WinXP to Win7 and it worked just fine. Perhaps there's something I'm doing differently, but I would have thought things would work the same for each VM and device setting.

I hope someone can help me with this.
