Inadvertantly checked automatic shutdown for parallels for mac 3036 running windows XP . How do I undo?
Constant, thanks for your prompt reply but I don't understand your answer. Could you be more explici? Thanks, Shel
. Where the virtual disk is located, which is usually in a "parallels-vm" directory containing a directory with the name of the guest os used, is a ".hdd" and a ".pvs" file. The pvs file is a plain text file, that can be edited with any text editor, so the auto shutdown option can be changed from 1 to 0. .
Catch22 still there in 3150? It seems a bit silly that you can get a VM stuck in a startup/shutdown loop that keeps you from editing any of its settings (including the settings for startup/shutdown!). Couldn't they move that setting into one of the drop menus. This is still an issue in build 3150 as far as I can tell.
