I am trying to access my XPsp2 bootcamp partition with PD 5.0.9220 (osx 10.6.2) PD starts the 'configuring' process, then XP boots, comes up with a prompt whether to 'search for drivers for new hardware', and that's as far as it goes. No mouse or keyboard input gets through to the VM. The VM is running -- eventually screensaver starts -- but I can't control it. I have tried: 1. enabling auto-login. 2. extracting parallels tools installer from Library and installing it manually during a native bootcamp boot. 3. using external USB keyboard, both with 'connect to host' and 'connect to VM' options. 4. removing all but essential devices from the VM I'm stuck! Help! thanks!
Solved! After hours of futzing around, I found a solution: 1. Uninstall Parallels 2. Install VMWare Fusion Runs way smoother, no problems with bootcamp.
I'm using PD5 ver 5.0.9308 with W7 without any problem. W7 went on the first time I tried to install it.
