Like a true Parallels newb I was thumbing through the VM configuration options and decided to enable the feature(s) that allow Parallels to boot up Windows XP when I click my icon in the dock and also completely shut down Parallels when I shut down Windows XP. I actually want to disable that now, but I can't access the VM controls because the only time that option is available is when I launch Parallels and Parallels tells me I can't open the VM configuration when my VM is running. Talk about a catch 22. I can't seem to figure out how to open Parallels now without my Windows VM starting up.

Can anybody help? I tried looking at the Parallels support documentation and I found where it says the way to enable that feature, but can't find out how to DISABLE it!

Thanks and I hope I find some other good info in the forums :D

like a true newb youve forgotten to use the "Search" function in these forums ;)

open the pvs file in your VMs dir and set

    Start Auto = 0

Fixed it. Thanks! I always have a rough time with searches unless it's generic or I know exactly what the function is called. I usually just end up finding a bunch of info that doesn't help me.

    Anyway, I appreciate it.
