    Hello,
I have a new iMac Intel Core Duo with 1GB of RAM.
In installed beta3 Parallel VM with 50GB Windows XP partition and it looks good, but I have a backup CD-R on which I cannot see all the files on.
The CD-R has a bunch of quicken backup files and installer executables, which i can all see in another PC and on the local Mac OS X mount, but for some reason I only see one set of quicken backup files in the VM's XP Explorer and dozen of files are missing/invisible...
I made sure I have explorer config to show all files and I can't see them either in cmd shell d:
    any idea what's going on?
    Thanks!

For those encountering the same issue...

Well, I actually I figured out the problem. The files I can see in the VM's XP are from the 1st track or burn session of the CDR.
I reburned all the files in one swoop on a new CDR in MacOSX and I now can see them all. :)
I guess the current beta 3 VM has trouble reading subsequent track/session on a CDR?

This might be a windows issue. It doesn't handle multi-session burns.

My old PC/XP create this CD-R and had no problem seeing the files. My Windows laptop can read it fine as well, so I do think it's a limitation with the beta3 VM...

Weird. I have always had problems with multi-session CDs. I guess you are right if your other machines read them fine.

Are you able to read all of the files in OS X? I had some issues with reading CDs that were burned in Windows on OS X. Could be a CD-ROM drive difference.

I had exactly this issue with a CD that had several sessions of Quicken Backup files in it. The OS X would mount it with the correct name, but when I attached it and opened it in the VM I saw only the previous name from the burn session used to create the disk. The content was also only from the first session. Exploring the disk from OS X showed all the files on it though.

Thanks for reporting! There is such issue in Beta3, but it is already fixed and will appear in Beta4.
