I have an iMac desktop computer with Parallels and Windows XP installed. I do machine embroidery so I also have embroidery software installed on the windows side of the Mac. Until yesterday, I had a Verbatim external hard drive on the windows side of the computer. I keep my embroidery designs and access them through my embroidery software from the external. It worked perfectly and I could access the external anytime. Last night we had a power failure. I turned the Mac back on and went to the windows side but I can no longer "see" the external. I closed down the windows side, unplugged the external and plugged it back in. The box came up that asked me if I wanted it on my Mac or Virtual machine. I chose Virtual Machine. Still can't access it. Then I get a popup that says if I want to disconnect it from my Mac, I have to forcibly remove it. In Finder, I don't see the external either. How can I get back to where I was????? Help!
