Just downloaded a file. The file has the parallels logo over it stating it's a windows file. I try to open it and nothing. The first file was a .msi file to run a program. The next was an adobe file for a program that works fine when everything is done via windows, but if i download file in mac and try to open it with windows. Nothing. ANy ideas
How are you opening these files? Are you just double-clicking or are you right-clicking and selecting Open with? If you use Open with, you should choose to use Windows Explorer in your VM. Steve
click 'Get info' and check the default application to open. If you believe it is incorrect - change the default application to appropriate Windows application from Parallels Applications folder. To be able to do it you need to have your Windows applications shared with Mac - check in VM Configuration > Options > Applications
