Trying to instal OSXFUSE that requires a System Extension be installed. On Monterey Guest/Host It wants to reboot in recovery mode probably so I can allow it. It doesn't reboot the way the OS expected. The VM just starts up normally.

Tried terminal command to both boot into recovery, and to allow the extension by supplying the DeveloperTeamID. Neither work.

VMWARE has a setting in one of their config files to force a Recovery Mode reboot.

Anyway to install System Extension on the guest?

    Hello,

If you are using a MacBook with Intel processor, please follow the steps from the article: https://kb.parallels.com/en/116526 to run the virtual machine in the recovery mod.

If you are using a MacBook with M1/M2 chip, you can run the virtual machine only if the hosts have macOS Ventura and Virtual Machine with macOS Ventura installed, also there are limitations, more information in the article: https://kb.parallels.com/en/128867
