Hi, I'm trying to install Freespire via an .iso image I d/l'd. I can do the installation, and when it gets to the part where you remove the CD, and hit return (that page...since I'm not really using a CD), the screen goes wonky and the graphics are all screwed up. Then, I hit return and it restarts. Then it boots and the "starting services" process and graphics come up after I log in. Then, the whole thing crashes Parallels. I tried to install in VMWare fusion, and could get it installed, but the performance sucked. And I'd rather use Parallels. Anyone who got it to run/install ... any tips for setup? I'm using 512 Mb of RAM on a 16 Gb expanding hard disk. I've tried setting up with ACPI=off and just using the VESA driver setup, with no joy. Is it really worth it to install, anyway? I'm just noodling around, and playing with the program anyway. I run Ubuntu natively and am using Parallels for FreeBSD and XP. So, am I just spinning my wheels for no benefit? Thanks! Roge
