Just installed boxed version of Parallels, build 3186, on new 15" MBPro 2.2 GHz C2D. In trying to download update, Parallels drop-down screen says: "Please wait while Parallels Desktop is checking for available updates. You can click Cancel to interrupt this process at any time." A progress bar is displayed, but no progress is indicated, even after 30 minutes. So I cancel. Have tried this several times with same results. In 1/07 I installed a separate copy of Parallels Desktop, build 3186, on an 20" iMac C2D and later updated it to build 3188 without trouble. I am having trouble getting either of two USB thumbdrives to work on the MBPro under Parallels (work fine under OS 10.4.9), and I think build 3188 would help. Any suggestions on the update and/or how to get USB drive to work would be greatly appreciated.
