I am trying to copy a vm package to another machine. I get an error message: "One or more items can't be copied to "Parallels" because you don't have permission to read them. Do you want to copy the items you are allowed to read?" The VM is off. Both Macs are running OSX 10.6.4. I have Windows licenses available so that is not an issue. I just need to copy the VM. Appreciate any help. John
I had a similar error message when attempting to simply copy a file to a windows application directory while running Coherence. The Finder application claimed that I had read and write permissions to the file, but when I attempted to copy the file, the error message came up "The operation can’t be completed because you don’t have permission to access some of the items.". When I turned off Coherence, did a copy on the Macintosh side, and a paste on the Windows side, the file was copied. I suspect that the information exchange between Parallels and OSX is not correct in all cases, so OSX denies the operation.
