Hi I can no longer access the internet on my XP VM on bootcamp partition. using parallels 5.0.9376

It used to work a while ago but I stopped using parallels as it was slow but having upgraded my memory i thought i would go back to using the vm.

I have no problem with accessing the internet natively on mac osx or booting directly from the bootcamp partition.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the adapter in the device manager in windows. and also tried the other network configs such as bridged or host only.

does any one know what could be wrong?

on a side note when trying to use parallels to run windows on the bootcamp partition its asking me to reactivate windows, however when i boot directly into bootcamp this does not happen?

    Thanks

    Laurence

ok sorry missed this in my previous search of the forum but the following solved my internet connectivity issue:

still wondering about the reactivation prompt though as it seems weird that it only happened after/whilst booting using parallels which was a bit annoying since i didn't have any internet.
