I'm a complete Noob to Parallels desktop and just downloaded the demo. First impression is -WOW-. I was up and running in no time, connected to the internet on my first try (haven't used IE in a long while
), and even my favorite 3D tool is up and running nicely (Ultimate Unwrap 3D). BUT, I can't get "Parallels Shared Folder" to work!?! Argh... I installed the Parallels Tools and rebooted both Windows and my Mac a couple times. The alias to the folder is on my Windows desktop, and when I click it, it opens but won't allow me to copy any files into it.
On the Mac side (iMac Intel Duo Core 1.83 GHz, 1 GB RAM, OS-X 10.4.8) when I open Finder, I don't see any network connections or shared folders.
When I installed Parallels, I accepted all the default settings. Apparently, the networking is working because I'm able to access the internet. It's just file sharing that appears to be buggered. Can anyone help??? Thanks!
