Hi, I've sucessfully installed Ubuntu 5.10 on Parallels on my Macbook Pro 2.16GHz 2GB RAM. My airport is disabled and I bridge the en0 network interface. When the VM boots, I get a DHCP IP address and am able to connect to the internet and to other machines on the LAN. However, I can't access the primary MacOSX IP address from the guest OS, nor can I access it the other way 'round. In beta1 this worked, however it often resulted in kernel crashes. It seems that in beta2 this stopped working for some reason. Any ideas?
bridged network on OS X and beta 2 I encountered a similar problem. Ping to my host works, but any other service (like ssh or smb) does not. This seems to be the same error as reported in this thread: Network workgroup: OS X and the VM won't access each other
