Cannot reinstall Parallels tools

    I am in Windows 10 and just cannot reinstall Parallels Tools. I've tried all the steps in these KB articles:

    https://kb.parallels.com/en/8969
    None of the above resolved the issue.

    If I go to Add Remove programs and try to uninstall, I get this error message: "This installation package could not be opened. Contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package." Parallels Tools has this number below it: 15.1.4.47270

    What do I do now?
