I am running Parallels 7.0.14924 in Mac OS Lion 10.7.2 with Ubuntu 11.04 64-bit as a guest OS. The problem I am facing is that I cannot install updates through the update manager. When I try to check for updates, it comes back with an error that says, "Failed to download repository information" and "Check your Internet connection." However, if I try several times, it goes through and works, usually on the 7th or 8th time. The Internet works fine if I open Firefox in Ubuntu, and this problem happens on any network (my school network, my home network, etc.). This problem also happens when I try to download and install software through Ubuntu Software Center. It's acting as if I have an unstable connection and it's getting interrupted. It'll download a little then quit. I try again, it downloads a little more then quits. What gives? Everything else that deals with the network/Internet besides downloading and installing updates seems to be working fine. I would like to upgrade to 11.10 but it keeps failing. I don't have any firewalls or anything and it was working fine when I first installed it. I am kind of a Linux n00b but I'm learning the basics in school.
