I usually run Parallels in Full Screen mode and simply CMD-TAB between my mac aps and parallels. As of about 1 hour ago, this has stopped working, once I'm in Parallels there is no way out except by selecting Alt-Enter to come out of Full Screen Mode.
In fact even in OS window mode if the mouse is anywhere inside the window I cannot CMD-TAB into my mac apps.
I can use Cntrl-Alt to disengage the mouse but this is not a good soln. I don;t want to have to press Cntrl_alt then Cmd-Tab just to go from Parallels to Safari!

Can anyone offer a soln? Perhaps I've just messed up some setting somewhere?

    Thanks

Open System Preferences > Universal Access and uncheck "Enable access for assistive devices". If you need that option checked, unfortunately there currently is no way around this issue that I know of except what you described.

Many thanks brkirch - I don't think I would have found that in month of looking!

As I have just found out from my own experience, this problem does not exist with VMWare Fusion 1.0.

At last I can use assistive devices such as TypeIt4Me* and still be able to use Command+Tab to toggle between my VM and Mac applications.

If Fusion can do it, why can't Parallels?

*Correction: Typinator, not TypeIt4Me. In Fusion, TypeIt4Me 3.1.1 does allows Command + Tab to switch between Mac applications but it disables the tab function within Windows applications themselves. Typinator 2.0, however, works fine in Fusion for both internal tabbing and Command + Tab Mac application switching.
