When starting virtual machine winxp.hdd with Parallels Desktop 3.0 I get the following message: Parallels Mounter is unable to brows virtual disk. Make sure the virtuel disk file is not corrupted or used by Parallels Mounter or another programm. I am sure that the virtual disk winxp.hdd is not used by another programm. I have used it a day before and anything was right., but today I can´t start it again. If I try to start Parallels Desktop 3.0.app the OS Installation Assistant starts to guide me through the process of installing a new operation system. But I have already installed a virtual disk. When I run Parallels Explorer.app, there is a Virtual Disk named winxp as expected, but double click gives the following message: Paralles Explorer is unable to open the virtuel hard disk. Make sure thet the virtual hard disk file format is supported and that it is not corrupted or used by Parallels Eplorer or another application. I am not sure what is wrong. Please, could anybody out there tell me how I solve the problem.
Probably you didn't finish migration due to lack of space, before migration check is there at least space available on Mac the same as Migrating VM
Migration What does it mean? I have already used Parallels for a couple of weeks without any problems. What is list space? I don´t know if there is a list space. What is Migration VM?
Starting Parallels Desktop 3.0 build 5608.0 and choosing my winxp.hdd I get the following message: File /Users/jek/Documents/Parallels/Microsoft Windows XP/winxp.hdd seems to be not a valid Parallels virtual machine configuration file! I already tried following steps: 1. Restart Mac OS 2. Disable screensaver in Mac OS and in Windows(after VM start) 3. if you are not able to start Parallels Desktop -- reinstall as described in http://kb.parallels.com/en/4790 -- delete .mem and sav files from VM folder 4. Try to start VM
